Now most Americans, including you and me, would' conclude that the purpose of a budget is to keep your expenditure within your income. Otherwise for what purpose a budget? The budget in point is the Presidential one for 85.4 billions; 14.5 billions more than the proposed income. This couldnt be a budget but merely a request for funds. Senator Bennett and Bird, and almost every economist agree that deficit spending is inflationary. Thenational debt is now at 260 billion or 1,700 for every man, woman in these United States. As an American did you know? that 104 billion, or about 40 per cent of the total has been given to foreign countries for one trumped-u- p reason or another. The army alone has spent in its prosecution and of the Korean War. Or as some in high places would say: The Korean Police Action. But the great majority of Americans feel as the sergeant in Korea who asked: If this is a police action, where are the re-l&- ent 000 non-prosecut- ion police? Deputy Collins Solves Burglary On the night of March 23 last the Dragerton Cleaners and Peacocks Market were burglarized. Nothing was taken from the cleaners but a considerable amount of loot was carried from the market. Windows were broken and after careful examination Deputy Sheriff Collins determined that the culprits were juveniles. By twelve oclock Monday, with the help of the school authorities, the two boys involved had been apprehended and the stolen goods found in the basement of one of their homes. With a wide awake police force and the methods of detection crime does not pay. It does not pay for professionals and an amateur is only a professional beginning. up-to-d- ate r. 4 NOTICE Notice for the P. T.
