MICRE ADELPHE FASHION SHOW TUESDAY NIGHT The curtain will rise Tuesday night, November 22, at 8:00 oclock on the Micre Adelphe club annual fashion review to be staged at the Price civic auditorium. In a very special shop, in a special part of town, all the new and colorful fall creations will make their official debut at the clubs Salon of Fashion. The show will retain all of its usual fine features but promises to be more and outstanding than exciting ever before. From dawn to dusk and on into the glamor of evening this autumn review of 1949 will offer the most acceptable creations in feminine attire. Accessories will add spice to the costumes. Hats will be highlights and shoes will step right out in an array of new colors. Bags will be noticably slimmer and smaller but., very attractive. Jewelry will be stressed in the fashion picture with pearls leading the way. Miss Shirley Miles will be the fashion commentator. The stage setting, designed in bright green and gold metalic paper, will be the replica of a fashionable dress shop. The models will be Micre Adelphe members, representatives from the various womens clubs, school organizations and from the local dress shops. Many and very special door prizes, generously donated by" the merchants of East Carbon an dother communities in Carbon county will add interest to the show. The twentieth annual Thanksgiving ball of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive association will be held this coming Thanksgiving night, Thursday, November 24 at the Price city auditorium. Mitchell Bikakis of Price is the general chairman of the ball. He has announced that Jimmie Darts orchestra will play and that carnations will be given to all of the ladies. There will be four door prizes given away that evening to the lucky ticket holders. The music will start at 9:00 p.m. and end at 1:00 a.m. The American Hellenic association is a benefit organization which is- organized throughout the United States. They have centers built many tuberculosis in various sections of this country. The local chapter of the AHEPA has taken part in many of the charity benefits of this and other organizations. The next meeting will be held at the home of Ardith Gibson. Patsy Mahan, reporter. of Telesforo Perez of Dragerton, died in Denver Thursday, No vember 10, following a lingering illness.
