Volume r erton Saeayside, n bune Catholic Church Building Fund Gets Under Way East Carbon Rotary Clothing Drive Goes Over the Top Altar Society Elects Officers The Catholic congregation of Rost Carbon met in the recreation kali of the Good Shepherd Church m Dragerton Sunday, January 25. Here final plans were drawn up in regards to the programs which will be given in the next four months. There will be a dance on the following dates: February 28 Leap Year Dance. March 27. April 10, and a Spring Festival May At each dance there will be a big raffle- and a bingo party. The various committees needed were set up and the members appointed to them. The first corn- mittee appointed was that of the Building Pledge Committee. Jus- Neumeier was selected as gen- eral chairman of this committee, with the following men working Mrs. Frank Colombo was elected president of the newly organized Altar Society when the Catholic women from Columbia, Sunny dale, Sunnyside and Dragerton met Wednesday evening in the church hall. Other officers elected to head the group are: Mrs. Gerald Gal- Mrs. Jack breath, Clifford, secretary, and Mrs. Rodriguez, treasurer. The Altar Society will work with the general finance commit- tee which was appointed by Father Sanders to raise money for f 5 I i r pi ; X f, vice-preside- nt; the building fund. Many interesting programs are being planned for the meetings and all Catholic women, are in- vited to attend. Thus, no amateur will have to shoot against the shooters who have been shooting the perfect scores.
