The coming of the railway opened our isolated atate to settlement and developthent aided by homeseekers from the thickly populated east. The completion of the Midland Trail will further open the state to millions of admiring eyes and minions of perfectly good dollars. It is safe to assume that every motor car which makes the transcontinental journey over the great road will contain a person ready and willing to be converted to our belief in the Greater Utah and to back up his belief with a large bank roll. Sectionalism had entered into the construction of the Midland Trail lthrough Utah, unfortunately, and petty and useless squabbles over "ultimate routes" might have barred the work but for the UTAH spmrr. Building a suitable road through the southitstern counties is no child's play, and the handful of workers of that district, toiling tirelessly to open up the sparsely settled parts and encourage settlement and development, have been up against jt hard. at times, and are looking for a wee bit of tinanaal aid from the thickly populated Salt Lake ,district It will be supplied tvith your aid. Contributions are being received by Will G. Farrell, secretary of the Commercial Club, on behalf of the Midland Trail Funds Committee. Checks should be made payable to O. C. Beebe, vice president of the Salt Lake Commercial Club and trustee for the Midland Trail Funds Committee.
