Show WASHINGTON St. Gecrge Couple To Observe 65th Anniversary A St. George couple celebrated what must be almost a national record, Saturday when Mr. and Mrs. D. N. Pearce observed their Cedar came Mr. and Mrs. J. V. David and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cripps. Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Worthen and children came from Porterville, Calif. Both Mr. and Mrs. Pearce, the former Della Riding were born in St. George of pioneer families and have spent their entire lives here. They have been very active in church circles throughout their lives. Both gave many years to temple work and Mrs. Pearce served in almost all organizations as chorister. She is still a member of both the Granny and DUP Band. Women's Faculty Club Holds Meet Ball n Set Saturday April Is a time of flowers and rain drops, of parties and hops. Come and join in the fun, its just begun. An event is scheduled for Saturday, April 3, is the latest word. It's the East Stake Gold and Green Ball, to be held in the Stake Recreation Hall. A fine orchestra will provide the music, so grab your chick. You'll be jumping for glee, cause admission is free. Thursday, April 1, 1965 Spanish Club To The Women's Faculty Club was held at the home of Mrs. Earl Blake. Those serving on the committee for the evening were Alice Gamer, Hettie Bentley, Lois Iverson and Velma Bayles with Juanita Brooks as the chairman. The subject for the evening was Women in Government. Mrs. Brooks discussed Eleanor Roosevelt and touched on a few other women. Local women in government was covered by Mrs. Anna Taylor. Two of our most illustrious women in the county were reported on, Mrs. Romney and Mrs. Woodbury. There were several lovely musical numbers given. This is My Country," was sung by Delmont Truman and a women's quartet, consisting of Claudine Cooper, Karol Truman, Edna Mae Sampson, Barbara Watson. Their accompanist was DOn Snow.
