Sec. 21, Date: October 1984 (Violation occurred) The water delivered to by the Town of Stockton has been found through recent routine tests to be in violation of Section 3.1.4 of the State of Utah Public Drinking Water Regulations by the Utah Department of Health. We are required by law to publish this notice. This standard requires that no more than 1 coliform bacteria be contained in 100 ml. (about 1 glass) of water. Samples from our system have averaged 5. 1 coliforms per 100 ml. A water system in good condition normally indicates no such bacteria in any sample. This water may be used for all external uses such as washing. If this water must be used for food preparation, brushing teeth, or drinking, we advise you to boil the water for at least five minutes prior to use or to provide your own chemical treatment (chlorine or iomendations. Unsatisfactory samples indicate a defect in our water system exists. A preliminary survey of our system indicates that there was a chlorinator malfunction as a possible problem. The water system management is interested in providing you safe water and has taken steps to correct this problem. We have repaired the chlorinator regulating unit and have continued to send a "Boil Water Order Notice on each monthly water statement since July 1, 1983 when the main water transmission line washed out of Soldier Canyon. Our most recent samples indicate a Satisfactory Bacteria Count. Dan J. Rydalch Councilman Water Department Town of Stockton P. O.
