Birch John Woolley Clark, born October 16, 1890 in Grantsville, Tooele, Utah to Joshua Reuben Clark, Sr., and Mary Louisa Wool-- , ley, passed away May 3, 1983 at the Tooele Valley Nursing Home in Tooele, Utah. Mr. Clark has been a resident of Grantsville until 1980 when he was admitted to the Tooele Valley Nursing Home. He received his early education in the local schools. He attended district school during his elementary years and became a member of the starting class of Grantsville High School. He was called on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints in 1913, and y served in the Alabama Conference. In 1917 he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served a year in France during World War I. He married Elizabeth Holton Feb. 1, 1935 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Clark taught in the Grantsville schools from 1924 to 1945. From 1946 until he retired in 1959 he taught at Tooele Jr. High School. He has been active in the LDS Church all of his life, holding var- Lacey. Elizabeth Bevan Birch, 78, died at her home of a heart attack on May 2, 1983. Elder Loren C. Dunn, 1st Council of Seventy, spoke and the benediction was by Samuel T. Orme, a brother. Dedication of the grave was by Elvon W. Orme, a brother. Pallbearers were Alvin P. Matthews, She was born September 6, 1904 in Tooele, Utah to Amos and Nellie Kirk Bevan. She married Tessar B. Birch March 26, 1926, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away on Dr. Geoffrey Orme, Terry C. Orme, James F. Orme, Jr., Neil Davidson and Steven Wilson. November 21, 1981.
