Fred Hale was born and raised in Crantsville. lie worked at the Tooele Army Depot for thirty years of which time the majority of hit labor was in development of Ammunition Peculiar ' Equipment as an equipment specialist and as a supervisor. Fred feels that Crantsville should work towards improving commercial business and encouraging businesses to locate within the city limits. This b the only way Crantsville can receive revenue for improvements without throwing xa bigger tax burden on the Crantsville residents through increased taxes. Zoning has presented many problems in Crantsville and Mr. Hale feels that thb problem should lie addressed and possible changes made. Fred also stated that the Crantsville water system should be developed to take care of their present and future projected needs. Mr. Hale feels that his experience in management and construction will be helpful in working out good and equitable solutions to the problems Crantsville b faced with. He has worked at American Salt Company as an electrician, for Grantsville City, and is presently employed at n as Hale Oil Company. He also has a great interest in the area of public safety Howard is married to the former Pam Hale and is the father of three . children. We have had many city improvements in the past few years, but we should go a step further in enforcing city ordinances to enable us to clean up some of the eyesores of our city. Our future water needs must also have immediate attention. I don't believe in campaign promises because in many instances no matter how good your intentions are -- - they can't be kept. 1 can promise that if I were elected Crantsville City Councilman I would work honestly in the best interest of Crantsville City. As a candidate for city council, I feel my responsibility to the city and the citizens of Grantsville. I am a retired member of the city fire department and at one time served as chief. At present I am serving on the board of adjusters and I like being involved with city government. I feel we as citizens of Grantsville should be aware of problems and transactions of the city inasmuch as it effects us as a community now and in the future. We should all be aware of things involving our community, such as drug problems, vandalism, city growth and how to cope with it. Several of our citizens have made an all out effort to beautify and make our town a place to be proud of; they need our support. We should be proud of where we live and try to make it better.
