Mrs. Stewart was an active member of the LDS Church and served as an officer in the ward and stake Relief Society organizations and as a visiting teacher. She also sang with the Relief Society Singing Mothers and in the ward and stake choirs. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Calvin (Juanita) Christensen and Mrs. Eldon (Mellia) Payne, both of Provo; two sons, L. Crant, Tooele; and Earl Dean, Salt Lake City; two daughters, Mrs. Doyle (Coy) Robertson, Phoenix, and Mrs. Thurman (Wanda) Thorpe, Salt Lake City, 22 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, at 12:30 p.m. in the Berg Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 1300 South 2350 East, Salt Lake City, where friends may call Friday from 7 until 8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the services.
