However,' after last Tuesdays win over Carbon 1 would like to encourage Tooele coach Mike Johnsen, that he retain the game plan used to destroy the Dinos I was pleased with the way our kids executed and stayed with our game plan, Johnsen exclaimed following the 17, Killpack with 14. . 125 Ill 94 85 79 56 impressive win. 46p)int WE KNEW we had to spread out their big men, and it was our plan to force them to defense us We were unable to do this during the first period, but the kids kept popping away from outside, over their zone, and with us shooting a pretty fair percentage, it forced Carbon to abandon the zone and come after us This was just what we wanted, and once we got the games momentum coming our way, we were home free. Dave Miller, Carbon with 62 who was player of 66 Bob Burge the week last week - and 67 John Nielson comprising the Dinos front line and a pair of 63 guards, Tooele was at a real disadvantage. And as Johnsen had surmised the Dinos opened the game in a tight zone defense. HOWEVER, with Dave Faddis, Don Williams and Fred Killpack splitting the strings over the zone, the Buffs were able to take a one point, 1515 lead at the end of the first period. Carbon took an early 2 lead with Miller hitting from the side, and an shot by Nielson. Rod Pierce hit a for Carbon to give the Dinos a 6 lead to open the second period, and that was the last time the visitors were in front.
