IN THE SAME Pioneer Village is a zoo with 20 varieties of wild animals and an aviary with 50 species of birds. At various times during the summer there will be free performances of a wild west bandit shootout, authentic Indian dances and the like. The new giant Jet Star 2 ride, the only one in North America, is exciting beyond belief as it twists and turns at a high rate of speed. Also in operation will be the traditional classic rides such as the roller coaster. Wild Mouse, Space Mother Gooseland Scrambler, rides, Draculas Castle, Sky Bide, Flying Jets and others. Begular events staged in Lagoon Stadium are weekly rodeos, demolition derbies and musical attractions. Lagoon's Marching Band will parade through the park nightly at 7 p.m. This year Lagoon will feature a pass good for all rides, all day, as many rides as the patron desires. Every Saturday night will be Date Night where the girl rides free when accompanied by a paying partner. |
