Attending from this area were: Donald North, Fire Chief of the Crantsville Department; with Crant Pendleton, Ceorge Cillette, Floyd Bracken, David Buck, Joe Caldwell and Jay Colledge, all firemen from the Tooele Department. The featured speaker was Assistant Chief James L. Smith of Lexington, Kentucky. Chief Smith is one of the nations top authorities in the area of arson investigation. A highlight of the Seminar was the burning of a portion of the old Whitehall Hotel in Salt Lake City. All participants visited the fire scene before and after the burning, and then attended a mock trial regarding the fire.
