John-Clove- r - FIRE BURNS BUILDING Our local fire truck was called to extinguish a fire at Clover. Children playing with matches had started an old garage, being used as a chicken house on fire close to Howard Chadwicks home. A wind blowing, caused some anxious moments for Mrs. Chadwick as to the safety of her house, but with the help of the firemen and a forestry truck that was passing, the Raines were soon quenched. Mr, and Mrs. Chadwick want to thank all their neighbors and men from St. John for the help they gave. The Maxwells now have four grandchildren. HERE FOR FUNERAL Mrs. June Sharp flew from Portland, Oregon to attend the funeral services for 85 year old Emma Sharp of Salt Lake w'ho was buried in Vernon Tuesday, September 17. Miss Sharp was an aunt. June stayed overnight with her sister, Mrs. Jessie Johnson, before returning to her family in Oregon, Wednesday.
