Ends Saturday Dear F.ditor: I am writing this letter in the hopes that something can b done about the bo$ in the 1 FA who have the chanie to make the Europe trip I am dumiifoumiisl that th.s campaign should bog down in Tooele after what I have seen and experienced as a former member of the I FA On the livt of donor, I would have expected to see many like ms self who derived much from thl organ!-ratio- n in the pat year Many of ihese people are all around ui and even hold prominent jxivitiona in the community, etc. I hope that they remember some of the things that I do about this group or dub. For instance, I remember that in the ninth grade I had scarlet fever that kept me absent for more than the amount of days that the school allowed for pasting A a result, I had to take many classes over and at that age 1 felt what was the use. I felt that all was against me and I just as well drop out. At the same time the Ag Club, as we called it came Into being offering vin.aiion.il training to boyt who werent out to be scientists, etc., but who were gifted in other ways but had very little chance to develop skills under old programs of schooling Through the efforts of a former Tarm Mechanics teacher. I wa urged to become a member of the Club and have a protect. I shall never cease to be grateful for the efforts of Layton R. Barrus. the teacher, for helping me to continue on in something that I liked A you know, I have become a building contractor and have worked in this community for the last 20 years, and now have four employees who derive benefit from this foundation that wa establ.shed years ago by the FFA. Many chances have gone to other organisations in drives to send young people on excursions and trips, etc., representing the community, and have been supported by the town, and it would be a shame if thu town did not support the these boy just because the club they belong to represent rural part of our commumiy. After all, they all come to Tooele for thnr need and some live in the community itself. r.mlosed, please find another $25 00 from the Liddell family for this worthy cause Thank you very much for your support of this venture and others which have only been put over by your unceasing efforts to make this a better community and to see that all have equal chances. Sincerely yours, Byron L. Liddell whole-heartedl- Donations for the three FFA boys good will tour of Europe totalled another $140 from the people of this area since Tuesday, but the overall money needed for the three youths is still short $1081. With the departure scheduled for July 10th, there is still time to reach the financial goal for the boys to make it with extra liberal splurge on he part of the people and organizations of liberal splurge on the part of the people and organizations of the county.
