Dear Going: You could have the same lousy fish again tomorrow! Dear Dan: Im sorry to be taking up your time but I have something troubling me. I asked this girl to be my date for our big dance, thinking she was nearly my age. (She goes to another school.) Today I found out she won't be 15 until March. Dan, I swear this girl looks at least 17. Well, Im in a jam. Im certainly not going to take her to the dance if I have to get hit by a car but how do I get out of this situation? Her parents okayed the date so I cant expect Shocked. any help there. Dear Shocked: This may deflate the girls ego or morale but if you tell her you can't take her to the dance and tell her the factual reason why, you may do more for her than anything her parents could tell her in the next two years. Dear Dan: My mother has a boy friend and hes always over at the house having dinner with us or watching television. I dont care much for him because he was the rens-mv Dad moved out. Im afraid Mom might marry him someday and I don't want him for a Should I tell my father about all this? I see him once a week and he's swell. Lit le Girl. Dear Little Girl: Sure, tell him. And tell him loud and clear. Dear Dan: Now that winters here, my boy friend has the ice skating bug. He thinks thats the ideal way to spend a date. Well, I don't. I like to dance, bowl, and go to the movies. Ice skating is okay but I just dont like it. Do I have the right to tel! my boy friend how I feel and would he get mad? Irene. Dear Irene: Youre going to have to compromise. Ice skating is a fine sport and if youd take the time to go to he rink, youd find most of your friends there. Tell your boy friend youll go ice skating once in a while with him if hell go dancing once in a while with you. No problem. Dear Dan: Does a girl look attractive wearing glasses? Some of my friends say Id look just like Connie Stevens if I wore them. Mary. Dear May: Glasses usually help a person's features. step-fathc- i.
