ScDut By Betsy McAllister i l !.mri r,j. Of course, the city was still thinking about the baseball game which had taken place on Monday.- - Perhaps two games in one week were just too much for the city to cope with. Then, too, the White Sox were tangling with the Yankees the same week. The game itself was one of the better recent contests, though the score doesnt tell the full story. The former collegians were in the ball game up to the beginning of the fourth quarter, as Im sure youve heard, but the pros proved their superiority in the closing quarter. All in all, it .was a very interesting evening spent in humid all-st- LB. They think hes just about tops as far as a quarterback is concerned. While we weren't too high on Etcheverry, and wondered about an injured arm suffered a few years ago, they think hes just about the ticket for what they need. We also cornered a New rorx Giants fan, and asked what about Grosscup. Lee has been a favorite of the fans in the New York area for a couple of years, though not getting much of an opportunity to perform. Lee Grosscup is all right was the comment . . . and hell someday be our number one quarterback. Well, it seems that Lee Grosscup will be tossing the football . . . but not for New York. Saturday, upon return to Utah, it was announced that Grosscup had been sold to the Minnesota team and would be one of four quarterbacks on the new club. Just received the notice that the new league is just around the corner here in the West. Don Smith, the Western Athletic Conference publicist sent out the annual request for a vote on how the new league is expected to come out. Here is the way this party voted. First, Utah . . . Second, Wyoming. Third, we pick Arizona State University, though Arizona State wont be eligible for the crown because of not playing enough games this Fourth, we see the New Mexico Lobos, with Arizona Fifth year. and Brigham Young sixth and last. However, we think itll probably be a real close race. There can t be very much separating first and last, so watch for some good football. fvr--1i r PETITE DANCERS who enjoy the fun and dancing technique of the Dorothy Searle School of Dancing are (Front L to R) Elizabeth Griffith, Tanna Messer-smitSusan DeLaMare, Wendy Co- l- ledge, Susan Real, Cathy Argus, Connie Barton, Julie Jensen.
