Lawrence Floral, Tooeles pioa neer Floral Shop, will hold grand opening of their newly remodeled facilities, at 83 So. Main, Saturday, Dec. 19. The public has been invited to the opening, to view the new modern shop, and floral facilities, according to Manager Charles Lawrence. Started in 1918 by Joseph Lawrence, Lawrence Floral had retail outlets in several early Tooele variety stores, with a greenhouse in Erda. In 1928, Mr. Lawrence built a greenhouse and shop at 83 South Main, which is the present location of the business. The business is run today by Charles Lawrence and Ethel Poor-maa son and daughter of the is founder, Mr. Lawrence, who is now 88 years old still works almost daily in the shop. Lacey, formerly of this city, is one of two new members of the district Farm Credit Board of Spokane, Washington. He is the son of Mrs. Jennie Lacey, 207 North First West, in Tooele. Roberts One of the finest athletic rivalries in Utah High Schools will resume this Friday night, when Tooele and Grantsville tangle in a preseason basketball game, here in Tooele. For many years the Cowboys and the Buffaloes clashed on the maplewood, as league rivals, then Too in the school year of 1955-5- 6 f M uu up into the Class A ranks, and since that time these two schools have continued the cross county competition, with practice games every year, with the exception of last year. This hasnt detracted a thing from the game, and the Grantsville - Tooele game, marks the highlight of schedule for both the teams. Our records which go back to 1948, gives a decided edge to Too ele moved n point to two state titles. In 1946, and 1947, while Tooele has never captured such a prize.
