Show FOR TOOELE COUNTY, UTAH, TO BE VOTED ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 1958 No. CONSTITUTIONAL NO. 4 CONSTITUTIONAL NO. 3 Article of the State of Utah be amended to provide that royalties received by the state as a result of mineral leases of lands that have been, or may at some future date, be granted to the State of Utah by the United States to be used for the support of the common schools and shall be and remain a per- manent fund and provided further that rentals received by the state from school and state lands be placed in the Uniform School Fund, but not the proceeds of the sale or other disposition of minerals or other property from school and state lands. Shall Section 2 of Shall Section 3 of X of the Constitution Article XIII of the Constitution of the State of Utah be amended to grant to the legislature authority to provide for the exemption from taxation of all household furnishings, furniture and used equipment by exclusively the owner at his place of abode in a maintaining home for himself and family. For Against Shall a law be enacted permitting pari- - mutuel wagering at horse racing meets and creating a State The Racing Commission. Commission is to issue licenses and promulgate rules for the holding of racing meets. Eighty-seve- n per cent of all money wagered at any meet shall be returned to persons holding winning tickets, two per cent to the Uniform School Fund, one per cent to the Commission, nine per cent to the sponsoring organization, and, to secure collection of income taxes, one per cent 6f winning wagers to State Tax Commission.
