She is the daughter of Reed and Janet Oakeson. For her Laurel value projects, Gloria participated in the Mormon Miracle Pageant as a pioneer, a dancer and an angel. She has participated in the pageant for 13 years. Gloria also crocheted an afghan and a picture of the Salt Lake Temple. Gloria is a graduate of Nephi LDS YW AWARD -- has received her Young Womanhood Recognition Award. Her value projects included helping coach a little league girls softball team, accompanying the Nephi 1st Ward choir and young women, creating a scripture calendar for friends, and working with the Friends of the Library and the Nephi Fine Arts Council in various activities.
