Even a helicopter would not be allowed to land. Have these things been considered? Why should the only people who will be able to see the beautiful country be the ones who can walk or ride a horse? This land belongs to the people and we should all get the opportunity to use it I feel that if this is not possible then we are losing our liberty more everyday. I challenge the people of Utah to make our state free from the special interest groups who are making an illegal land grab on BLM land. It should belong to the people to use, not be locked roads that are being used and maintained this does not constitute wilderness. There are roads on the West Desert that will be cut off that are being used all of the time by the people who live out there. Much of the land they are trying to take is being used for mining, ranching and recreation. Much of the desert has been used by 4 wheelers, motorcycles, dune buggies, and other recreation vehicles. Much of it is used by farmers and ranchers with sheep and cattle. What will happen if a plane out. goes down in a wilderness area? Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the land. The only way Clark D. Prisbrty Nephi Dear Editor what a year WOW, WOW! What a year I have had as Miss Nephi. Mayor Chad Broygh, the City Council, the Miss Nephi Committee, Mike and Ann Jones, my attendants, Tara Stephenson and Crystal Martinez, my family, and everyone who supported me during this past year, made this experi- ence memorable. I have had a lot of wonderful opportunities this year. Among nations of canned food, kitchen supplies (forks, spoons, napkins. Styrofoam bowls and plates, gar- bage bags, dish soap) and personal items (used clean clothes, deodorant, dental floss, toothbrushes, razors, clean used socks, lotion, hair spray, mens and womens winter gloves, etc.) are needed by the Shelter. I have been asked to collect these items in our community and take them with me to the Miss Utah Pageant next Monday. Ifyou are able to donate any of these items, I will pick them up if you will call 6 and leave a message with your address and a convenient time or you can drop them off any time at 176 West 400 North in Nephi.
