Place cut side down in shallow glass baking dish or platter. Pour about 14 cup water into dish. 2. Microwave at HIGH (100) for 12 minutes, rearranging squash after half the time. Remove from oven. Let stand 5 minutes. 3. Stir together pie filling, cherries, sugar and orange peel. Set aside. 4. Turn squash over. Sprinkle insides with salt. Fill with apple mixture. Dot with margarine. 5. Microwave at HIGH for 5 minutes. Rotate dish; then microwave at MEDIUM (50) for 8 minutes or until thoroughly heated and squash is tender. Serve half a squash for hearty servings or cut each in half.
