All other agreements or un- derstanding regarding pay- ment of the counties financial obligations to the gas system are considered void, said Leavitt. Juab County agrees to make three equal payments of $97,508. 22,. said Leavitt. These revenues will be paid on a monthly basis beginning in January 1997 and expiring on April 30, 2011, said Leavitt. The money can only come from gas sales revenue. It was agreed, however, that when the total sum of all gas discounts and revenues paid to the county by Nephi, Mona and Levan reached thd total of the countys original contribution of $771,527 to the gas system, then such discounts and revenue payments will stop even if the pay-of- f comes before 2011. How about our own Centennial Choir to perform on a regular basis? A better appre- ciation and awareness of the Cultural and Fine Art is, in my opinion, something that is very NEEDED and DESERVING of this Community. A small Community Theater program was set up here a few years back. It was forced to perform on a small stage, outside, with no shelter, no seating, ect. Not a very nice payoff for a lot of hard work from many talented people here in our community. There is talk of a coming Childrens Theater group We are one of the very few that really doesn't have this opportunity in our own town. One auditorium is not enough to serve a community of this size. Our High School auditorium CANNOT, and never will, be able to house and schedule all jof the events needed for us to grow and progress as a community. The Good News? We have a chance!!!! to have a well struc- tured, beautifully renovated theater of our own. For our legacy. With lights, sound, disabled access, and all other equipment needed to use ourselves and to invite others to participate. You may ask how can I help? Their are big ways and small ways like: Buying a Centennial or hat, putting a dollar in one of the jars around town. What we really need is some devoted, hardworking talented people rolling up their sleeves and helping to generate some fund raising ideas.. A Juab County Arts Guild is in the process of being set up. This Art Guild will be working to-T-sh-irt I ciation. Tb insure that the Elk being raised on Domestic Elk Ranches are genetically pure and disease free, they will have to be purchased from an accredited herd. Before coming into the State these Elk will be tested by the Utah State Veterinarian, the Department of Agriculture, and the State Brand Inspector. The expenses of the testing of three animals will be absorbed by the Domestic Elk Ranchers. Elk Ranching will bring an opportunity for small acreage farms to provide an income that would not be possible in other types of ranching. Most Elk Ranches throughout the United States are between 20 and 120 acres in size. Approximately three Elk can be raised on die same amount of ground it would take to raise one beef cow. This will also help to hold onto farm ground that would otherwise be sold off for subdivisions. ... ; We as potential Elk Ranehirs are looking forward to the passage of this bill and the opportunity to raise Domestic Elk. We need anyone interest- ed in, or talented in theater, dance, music, or any other activities pertaining to die Aits. A meeting is being scheduled soon to begin the attempt of finding the proper channels in which to set up such a Guild. Their first priority will be the renovation of the theater. If you would like to become a volunteer member 5 or please contact me at Steve Miller (evenings) at 623-212- 623-730- 1. A special talent night is scheduled for February 24th. This will be a very entertaining evening of talent from both here and areas surrounding. It will be a fundraising event in which all proceeds will go towards the renovation. Your support of this will be greatly appreciated. Also, watch for donation slips coming soon in your Nephi City utilify bill. We only have a very short time to complete this project before all monies granted will have to be returned.
