Juab Middle School News Spanish class visits Espanolandia Mr. Pauls Spanish II class recently went to BYU where they offered a being there type experience with a Spanish country called Espanolandia. Students had to pass by customs officials, change their dollars at the bank into pesos, pay for a train ticket, barter at the market place and many other challenges of visiting a foreign country. Reciting Spanish poetry, giving a prepared talk, and show and tell are some of the competitions the Spanish students participated in. Writing and memorizing a page and a half talk was a difficult task, but well worth the effort. Spanish II has been and a lot of work this year. The students are getting to the point that basic communication with fast-pace- Spanish speaking d persons through speech or writing is pos- - sible. Mr. Paul says, That is a great accomplishment! Pat Painter, representing Painter Motor Company was our guest speaker in Careers class last week. He gave a very interesting presentation including a hand out and a short quiz, which made the students think plus use their math skills. He was a big hit because he gave away free and hats to the ones with the highest scores. The seventh grade Burras-ton- s Field Day,' held April 26, was a big success. The students were required to perform an experiment of their choice using the environment around them. They could use the water, plants, land, animals, ect. as part of their experiment. After completing this they were given some free time to enjoy the day as they wanted. a new rectiner on Mother's bay! and Chapmans has Mom Would like the best in stock at great prices .
