Funeral held Tuesday for Grant P. Sperry We are trying to increase the awareness of our forest users in wilderness ethics. Grant Park Sperry, 81, died Dec. 22 at his home in Nephi. He was born Nov. 8, 1907 in Nephi to Asa G. and Agnes Park Sperry. He married Nella V. Jensen May 5, 1937 in Fountain Green. The marriage later was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He was a high priest in the LDS Church and enjoyed all sports. He served in the Utah National Guard. Survivors are his wife, of Nephi: three sons, Joel G. Sperry of Heber City, Phil V. Sperry of Nephi, and Randy L. Sperry of Woods Cross; a daughter, Mrs. Dwayne (Joy) Ashley of Kearns; 14 grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and two sisters, Leone Howarth of Salt Lake City and Eva Marine of Nephi. Two sons, Erroll and Johnny, are deceased. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Nephi 2nd LDS Ward.
