Stephensen. bot, Colette Christensen, top chapter at Ogden The Nephi chapter of the Jaycees was named the top unit in the state for the 1982-8Jaycee year at Utah Jaycees convention, held recently in Ogden. Twenty-sevechapters from throughout the state competed for the award. The Nephi chapter also won the Jaycees Road Runner award. The award is given to the chapter that travels the mostmiles during the year to attend Jaycee functions. The Nephi Jaycees received the Cavalli Service to Humanity award, and Nyle Robinson was awarded the Cavalli individual achievement award. The award is one of the highest honors given to Jaycees. The chapter also received a second place award for the largest net growth of the chapter, and Nyle Robinson was named one of the top chapter presidents for the year. He was the only chapter president in the state to receive a top chapter president award for all four quarters of the year, and he received an award for being the No. 2 recruiter in the state. Bob Krebs received the state Armbruster award, qualifying him to compete in the national Armbruster competition to be held at the national Jaycee convention to be held in Hartford, Conn, in June. Julie Robinson was presented with a special award from Jennifer MacLaughlin, first lady of the Utah Jaycees, for being one of the three outstanding local first ladies. Vaughn J. She was also named local chapter president for the month of March. The Nephi Jayceettes made a special presentation to Bob MacLaughlin, state president. They had made a queen size quilt with a Beehive on it which they presented to MacLaughlin. On Sunday, convention elections were held for state officers. Nyle Robinson was elected Utah State programming vice president, Bob Krebs was appointed state secreatary, and Wes Christensen was appointed state shooters education program manager.
