Show RESPIRATORY THERAPY One of our most active departments is our respiratory therapy area. These personnel, in addition to providing diagnostic testing, offer a number of respitory services so vital to a patients timely recovery. They assist in the treatment of many chronic lung disorders, post surgical complications, and acute respiratory diseases. They are vital members of the team in providing ventilation to very critical patients. A high percentage of our patients benefit from the services offered by this department. NURSING Dr. Wayne R. Viehweg has been practicing in Dr. James Tatton is a diplomat of the American Academy of Family Physicans and is a member of our community for three years. Dr. Fred Catrett was born and grew up in Beaumont, Texas and is 38 years old. His premedical education includes a B.S. in chemistry from Rice University. Following graduation from college, Dr. Catrett and his wife, the former Edie Clark, served two years as Peace Corps Volunteers in El Salvador, Central America. Dr. Catrett studied medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, receiving his M.D. in 1975. He completed a residency in family practice in 1979 at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, at Memorial Southwest Hospital. He is a member of the Sigma XI honorary scientific fraternity, the American Academy of Family Practice, American College of Emergency Physicians, and the Utah State Medical Association. Dr. Catrett began practicing medicine in Nephi in September of 1979. The Catretts have three daughters; Marie, 6; Jessica, 3; and Nicole, 5 months. Dr. Catrett is a member of the Nephi Lions Club, and Mrs. Catrett is active in the Twentieth Centruy Club and leader of the Nephi La Leche League. They live in a historic home which they are restoring in their spare time. . Highly skilled and truly dedicated, can be used to describe our nursing staff. Be it in the clinics or as part of the hospital, these nurses are always on hand to help meet your needs. Our nursing team consists of registered nurses, licienced practical nurses, and nurses aides. We are proud of the care our nurses provide. They may be observed performing highly technical procedures or they may be seen holding someones hand. A portable machine, EKG (heart monitor), and EEG are just some of the improvements that have been purchased for our health care center. The radiology department takes not only for our staff doctors but also for visiting specialists and other surrounding doctors. Countless people have been restored to normal, active life patterns because of our physical therapy services. out-patient- s, BUSINESS OFFICE Medication prescribed to you by your physican becomes an important part of your treatment while in the hospital. Our pharmacy department orders, stocks, and dispenses the medications-use- d to meet each individual patients needs. Lab work performed at Juab County Hospital involves many things. Not only do the technicians concentrate on hospital microbiology, and chemistry work, but they also assist in handling the Santaquin, Ftn. Green, Eureka, and Nephi clinic lab tests. Doctors from surrounding areas also send their patients to this laboratory for various lab tests. Our lab area has Some of the most updated equipment available in a rural hospital. New facilities are always being considered for our health care system. - r The insurance, admitting, billing, and collections for the hospital is vital to the success of our health care system. Because of many improvements in our computer area, faster and more efficient ways of sending bills and completing insurance forms are available.
