Show Dear Editor: We all should be thankful Dear Editor: Before 1981 comes to a close, I publicly thank many people for their efforts in making it a good year for many of us-- I am proud and happy the wonderful work for that has been done in making use of our old school buildings. The new city hall, county courthouse, and library are all places that we can look at with pride. I congratulate our county and city officials for their wisdom and judgment in converting these old buildings into useful, attractive structures. It also proved advantageous to use local contractors and workmen on these projects. They have done an outstanding job. I hope many people are proud of the financial condition our city is now in. This did not come about by chance, but by hard work and many hours of planning by many officials. For this I would like to extend my thanks to former mayor Barres Jenkins, and former city who are often forgotten. and all to the east of me, manager Ted Anderson, The city workers, in all even up to the beautiful who commenced this departments, spend their home on the hill that all work.
