Councilman Jarrett expressed the frustration of many residents when he said that one guy turns on two sprinklers, and another guy cant flush his toilet. Mayor Leon Pexton reminded the council that at their meeting with the city irrigation company last October, it was decided that the company should survey the lines to see exactly where the delivery problems are so that they could be corrected. This has not been done. Another problem is that irrigation water is not fit for human con- sumption and would have to be purified if it went through the culinary system. An idea to make this unnecessary was to lay another set of water pipes along side the culinary pipes for irrigation water only. Both options would cost extra money, and neither had the favor of the council. It is doubtful that with these problems, a change over to sprinkling will oc- cur this year, but another meeting with the irrigation company has been have shown that damages into the thousands of dollars to scheduled discuss the problems.
