Summer is about to come to a screeching halt. Its time to take the moth balls out of the pockets of your winter coat and hang up your swim suit for another season. But, isnt Autumn a beautiful time of the year? I havent noticed any dramatic appearance of fall colors on the trees, but I believe that the trees in my own front yard are trying to get a jump on the season. Already Im sweeping leaves off my front porch. But very soon I expect to begin seeing the bright yellows and varied reds appearing around town and then I wont be alone with my rake. Instead rakes will become a very common sight. - meg . noted. "They told us there sidewalks available)? Take a minute tonight and tell them. Like many moms, I participate in a car pool, which means I am responsible for the transporting and delivering children to and from school every three weeks. Since the Nephi children either walk, ride bicycles, or are driven to school, safety is a very important subject. I have seen a few too many close calls, and I hope that it doesnt take an unfortunate tragedy before parents take a minute to teach their youngsters how to cross a street or how to operate a bicycle in traffic. A childs safety is well worth the effort. To the parents who must park across the street from the school to wait for their children, please, please, please instruct them to stop, and at least look, before they dart out from between the cars parked along the sidewalk. There is a lot of traffic around the school at the end of the school day, and no matter how cautious a driver tries to be, it is very difficult to see some of the small tots until they suddenly appear from between the parked cars. Bicycles are a common sight, especialy while the weather still permits, but I sometimes doubt that many of the young riders are even aware of meg we could Anderson instead of $6,000 per mill.
