Born in Nephi November 10, 1919, he was a son of Owen Verno and Olive Ingram Boswell. He spent his early life and received his education in Nephi. He enlisted in the Marine Air Corps the day after Pearl Harbor and served four the South Paciyears fic during World War II. He also worked in the in civil service at Dugway and then moved to Elk, Washington. He married Allene Poulson. They were later divorced. He married Karma K. Whyte. They were later divorced.
