Arnoldsen, Mayor of Moroni said. Moroni Feed Company operates a turkey processing plant near Moroni, which provides income for more than 30 percent of Sanpete Countys population. Recognizing an economic interdependence, Moroni City and Moroni Feed Company joined to meet the State of Utah water quality standards. The Utah State Health Department has set August 1974 as the deadline for meeting these standards. The plant is capable of treating 900,000 gallons of wastewater per day. It treats the water by an activated sludge process. It differs from more conventional treatment plants in that it combines the use of activated sludge and aerobic digestion, which allows for a clean, relatively order-les- s operation. The facility is also unique in that it is the first municipal wastewater treatment plant in the State of Utah with tertiary treatment capability. Tertiary treatment will allow the plant to be modified to meet even more stringent standards in the future. Children ages three through are invited to attend the Conference Junior Sunday School.
