The bed was originally used in the Whit more home in Nephi and received by Mrs. Brough from Wbitmore family members. TNHioto new babies Mrs. Brough has Recent births ol interest to East Juab County residents include the following: valuable antiques continued Irom pane one gleams brightly. We're sure that it could be sold on the antique market for a tidy sum of money, inasmuch as brass beds have become very much in demand in recent years. lso among the Brough's possessions, speaking of bedrooms. is a item which before today's modern, was a standard item in each bedroom. The Broughs also have a beautiful water pitcher and wash basin set. In the kitchen of the Brough home can be found the dining set which belonged to Clarence and Selma B. Foote, uncle and aunt of Jack Brough. The set is now in perfect condition, after weeks of sanding, repairing, and refinishing. The kitchen also has an old kerosene lamp which came from Canada, and which has been electrified. The Brough's also have a light fixture which came from a Lunt home in Nephi and another light fixture from a Schofield home. Several items in the collection came from the home of Mrs. Elizabeth T. Ostler, now occupied by Bill and Ruth Howard. These include tables and a chair. A lamp came from the Latimer home occupied by the parents of the late Russell, David, and Andrew Latimer, and a rocker came from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Boldsbrough. All have been sanded and refinished, and are verv beautiful.' Mrs. Brough is club hostess The club held a pot luck party at the home of Mrs. Frank Brough on April 18. Club members came dressed in stylish hats and dresses they had worn many years ago. This was no problem to one of the ladies who had a slim dress pinned to the front of her more ample dress like a paper doll. An dinner was served to the group. The group then listened to recordings, e sang, and exchanged stories and experiences. The committee in charge of the program was Blanche Lenore Brough, Heppler, Laverne Worthington, and Margaret White. Others present wer Evelyn Anderson, Naomi Bailey, Edith Beckstead, Lela Bryan, Claudia Brough. This came from a home in Salt Lake City occupied by a relative of Mrs. Alta Kay. As one approaches Brough home, he notices an the cream separator as a feature attraction. The separator came from Fayette, and is used as a planter. Also on the outside of the home on the spacious patio is one of the fans from the old South Ward LDS chapel. It is mounted on the patio ceiling and during summer evenings when Mr. and Mrs. Brough eat out, it is turned on low speed to give a gentle cooling breeze and to keep the table clear of insects. Thats combining antiques with genius! Weve only hit the major highlights of the antique collection at the Brough home there are numerous small items and picture frames which are also valuable to Lois and Jack. We certainly enjoyed the time spent in their home the other evening, and congratulate them on an outstanding collection of items from the days of yore!
