Show 45 news Class members reunite to Mona and Mrs. Archie Kay Mr. share memories Saturday Members of the Class of 1930 held what spokesmen called a very successful reunion Friday at the Nephi Fine Arts Center. A total of 45 class members and their partners renewed school friendships, had dinner, and participated in a program which recalled many humorous incidents and situations from high school days. The class members and their partners were welcomed by Lawrence Olpin, who was president of the class. Othel Pay acted as Master of Ceremonies and kept the group amused w'ith school day anecdotes and situations of high humor according to those in attendance. A picture of the group was taken, and those in attendance also heard musical numbers and a reading. The following were in attendance at the reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Blackett, Provo; Gean and Nelda Belliston Worthington, Payson; Rex Christensen, Pocatello; Don J. and Naomi Topham Ellison, Fredonia, Arizona; Mrs. Helen Lee Gadd, Tooele; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Judd, Cherry Valley, Green-halg- h; and Clyne and Euna Jackman Leavitt. Mrs. Nila Summers of Salt Lake City spent a few days last week with her mother, Mrs. Hilda Newton. Fourth Ward Relief Society opening social announced The Golden Age Club honored their retiring president, Mrs. Arvilla Kendall, with a gift of appreciation at their September mem12 meeting. Forty-fou- r bers of the club were present. On September 19, Steven Price entertained members of the Golden Age Club with a reading, and selections on a musical saw. Also, James Phillips presented a tape recording of some poems he had written. A pot luck dinner was planned for September 26 at noon. The Fourth Ward Relief Society will hold its annual opening social on Tuesday October 2, it was announced recently by Ward Relief Society officials. The social will begin at 8:00 p.m. in the Fourth Ward Chapel. A program stressing The importance of Each One will be presented and a luncheon will be served. All married women and single women over 18 of the Nephi Fourth ward are invited to attend, officials say. Mr. and Mrs. John Leavitt of Ontario, California visited over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Dell Carter and Thomas Stephenson and daughter Mildred. Mr. and Mrs. Leavitt and Mildred Stephenson attended the class of 1933 reunion held Saturday morning at the Fine Arts Center. They also were present that evening at the Juab Stake Homecoming dinner and program. Weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Stuart were his sisters and brother-in-laMr. and Mrs. 0. E. Brown of Studio City, California, and Mrs. J. M. Cottam of St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Worthington of Salt Lake City spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Worthington. They attended the homecoming dinner and program. AREAWIDE PLANNING DISTRICT STATE HIGHWAY PLANNINGMEETING WFLES The State Road Commission desires to obtain public involvement in the programming process for proposed improvements on the State Highway System. Urbanized areas have an extensive formal process for evaluating and recommending improvements. Public involvement is needed in the rural areas to complete the programming process. Public involvement is to be provided through annual meetings held in each of the areawide planning districts. All persons are invited to express what they feel are the most needed improvements to the State Highway System. Two meetings have been scheduled for the Six County Commissioners Planning District, which includes the counties of Juab, Sanpete, Millard, Sevier, Piute and Wayne.
