Ray Francom to Levan on Tuesday of this week. H. Ray Francom was recently released from the Utah Valley Hospital after being hospitalized for some time for a heart ailment He and Mrs. Francom returned to Orem on Wednesday, where Mr. Francom will have further medical care. They are staying with a son in law and daunghter, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Madsen. During the past several weeks, Mrs. Francom also had visited with other members of her family: Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Norton of Provo and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Francom of Springville. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Wood of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Woodall and family of Bountiful visited over the Memorial week end with Mr. and Mrs. Clark S. Wood. Mathews returned to their home in Nephi after visiting for a month at the home of their son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. James D. Mathews of Rapid City, South Dakota. While there they accompanied their son on a 1400-mil- e trip to Fargo, North Dakota and Minneapolis, Minnesota for seminary graduation exercises where James D. Mathews was speaker at both exercises. The Chicken Creek camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers will present a special program at sacrament meeeing in the Levan Ward June 11. The program as outlined will give the history of the signing of the peace treaty by Chief Walker and Brigham Young at Chicken Creek in 1854, which ended the Walker war. The Daughters of Pioneers will have a special plaque made and placed near the DUP cabin to note this event. All are invited to the meeting Sunday. They also visited in Salt Lake City with Mr. and Mrs. Owen Peery and Mrs. Tamara Kerr. Mrs. Shirley Alman and son Rusty of Detroit, Michigan are spending two weeks in Levan with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Delwin Shepherd. Mrs. William J. Sorbe, Mr. and Mrs. William F. Sorbe, attended the graduation exercises on Saturday, June 3 at Utah State University at Logan. William J. Sorbe received a bachelor's degree In music. They also attended the Baccaul-aureat- e services on Friday, June 3.
