Club Members Hear Comparison On November 24, In an Impressive ceremony at the Manti Temple erf the Church erf Jesus Christ of Latter-da-y Saints, Lorraine Steiner and Patrick Arthur Rife were united in marriage. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Vinton G. Steiner of NephL Mr. Rife is son of Mr and Mrs. Arthur Rife of Sacramento, California. Matron of honor was the brides sisBridesmaids ter, Mary Dawn Lewis. were Mrs. Carma Judson, Miss Carol Chapman, Miss Kimala Steiner, Miss Terry Rife, Miss Trena Moore, Miss Cindy Sharpies and Miss Lesia Moore. Best man duties were performed by Robert Green of Sacramento, a cousin of the groom. The brides bouquet was a white orchid with white chrysanthemums and fuchsia colored ribbons. The brides gown was of heavy white satin with lace; the veil was mantia style with white bow styled crown. Bridesmaids wore fuchsia and yellow paisley dresses with bell sleeves. Mother of the bride wore a beige net suit, and mother of the groom wore a fuchsia-colore- d dress suit The bride had her trousseau displayed in an setting with a potbellied stove, and log cabin style background. At the book was Miss Anna VonKom-pe- n of Roosevelt. Assisting in the gift room were cousins of the bride, Mrs. Bill Lamb of Escalante and Miss Valery Smith of Bountiful. Carrying gifts were Rollin' Byran and. Michael Moore, Lory Gurr, Layne Sharpies, Darwin Harrison. Ushers were Gaylon Steiner, Larry Lewis, Rodney Steiner, Thad Moore. Of Schools of 1925 and Today The Ladies Literary Club met Decemb2 at the home of Mrs. George V. Jones, club president Mrs. Jones welcomed the members and guests. Mrs. Floyd Lunt read the collect and this was followed by a discussion and assignment of Christmas gifts for persons residing at the Colonial Manor. The gifts will be presented at the Federated Clubs annual Christmas party at the Manor. Mrs. Frank Greenhalgh introduced Leonard H. Trauntvein as the guest speaker, and his topic was education at the Juab High School. Mr. Trauntvein compared the curriculum and faculty of the year 1925 with the curriculum and faculty of 1971. He pointed out that the 1925 faculty consisted of seven teachers, and today it consists of 22 teachers holding smaller classes and a greater number of diversified subjects. Pictures of classes of 1925 were shown and methods of teaching during this period were discussed. Especially interesting was the "Utopia" which the year 1925 gave to education and the "Utopia enjoyed now in the fast changing educational methods of high school teaching. Mr. Trauntvein pointed out that the high school student of today should be better equipped for college, for vocational guidance, or for whatever he or she plans to. do.,. His discussion brought r out the advantages of the prgorammed machlearning booklets, the ines, the science equivalent, library films and records, and ho weach of these items can help the student fulfill the potential he has. Mrs. Max L. Orme, President of the Nebo First District, Utah Federation of Womens Clubs was a guest, and reminded members of the need of saving and turning in General Mills coupons toward the purchase of a machine to assist those with kidney disorders. Present were Mrs. Ray Anderson, Mrs. Jack Wright, Mrs. T. W. Allred, Mrs. W. W. Stephenson, Mrs. E. Alton Ellertson, Mrs. James H. Eagar, Mrs. J. L.
