Show Nephi, Juab Counfy, Utah 84648 Thursday, (August 28, 1969 Fort Wall DUP Meets Nephi News Briefs The 37th anniversary of its organization was noted by the Fort Wall Camp of Daughters of Utah Pioneers on Friday, August 21 at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Black. Captain Pearl Belliston presided at the meeting. Following a luncheon, served to 20, a program was given. Mrs. Elena H. Stanley read several pioneer poems; Sandra and Janice Van Nosdol sang several selections; live sparks were given by Olive J. Broad-heaand talks were given by County President Lillian Ostler and by Leona I. Greenhalgh, new captain of the Fort Wall Camp. the anniversary Enjoying event were Geneva Worthing-touZelma Golden, Martha C. Eagar, Leona Greenhalgh, Stella Anderson, Olive Broadhead, Ida Belliston, Amy Warner, Celia Briggs, Beatrice Winn, Lavem Worthington, Elizabeth Black. Special guests were Lillian Ostler, Elena Stanley, Mildred Ingram, Joyce Van Nosdol and daughters Sandra and Janice, and Alicia Read. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hawkins returned to Nephi last week after spending, a month, touring through Idaho, Oregon, Washand into ington, Monatana Canada- In Ontario, Oregon they visited with Mrs. Lucille Hawkins, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cowan; and from there enjoyed visiting in Washington, in Sidney, Vancouver Island, then to Victoria, and to Vancouver, B. C. At Trout Lake they were Plan Temple Marriage Mr. and Mrs. Maurice O. Johnson of Shelley, Idaho an nounce the engagement of their daughter, Carolyn, to Von Earl Christensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. James P. Ghrlstnsen of Levan. The wedding wil ltake place September 6 at Idaho Falls LDS Temple. A reception will be held that evening in Shelley with an open house in Levan on September 13. ' Miss Johnson graduated from Ricks College with an associate degree in drama. She spent one summer In England stuydlng genealogy and currently is eni' ployed in the conidential sect1 ion of the Genealogical Society, Mr. Christensen was gradu ated from Snow College in Business after fulfilling a mission for the LDS Church in Texas. He currently is employed at the Deseret News. They will make their home in Salt Lake City. Announce Marriage Duane Payne of Junction City, Oregon and Mrs Betty Payne of Portland, Oregon announce the marriage of their daughter, Carol, to Rex Bean, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bean of Nephi Utah. The marriage took place at Portland on August 15.
