New Home Agent Named Announcement has been made by Dr. Marden Broadbent, District supervisor of Extension Services of the Utah State University, of the appointment of Mrs. Gloria Ludlow as Extension Home Agent for Juab County. Mrs. Ludlow will work on a half-tim- e basis, and will be in the Extension office each Tuesday and Wednesday, and every other Monday. In her new assignment she will conduct educational programs to Home Economics, Family living and other womens programs. She also will work with H clubs and youth programs. Morgan in Salt Lake City Friday of natural causes. Mrs. Judd had resided in Salt Lake City for the past several years. Services were conducted at Ward chapel the First-Secon- d on with Bishop Tuesday, Viaughn J. Paxman of the Nephi Second Ward in charge. Mrs. Judd was active in the Democratic party and had served as vice chairman of the Utah State Democratic Committee at one time. She was active in ladies dub work in Nephi and during the time she resided at Provo. She served as president of the Ladies Literary Club and as a member of ithe Presidents Council at Nephi. She also was president of the Womens Council and the Presidents Council at Provo. Mrs. Judd was honored several years ago as Mother of the Year from the Nephi area Mrs. Judd was organist in the Old Nephi (Center) Ward and in stake organizations for 35 years. She also had served in this capacity in the Nephi Second Ward Relief Society. At one time she was Juab Stake MIA President. She was bom July 20, 1887 in Oakland, Iowa, a daughter of Robert John and Anna Hal-ladShe was Huntington. married to Georgie Riley Judd December 19, 1907 In the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. Mr. Judd died Decemb- Impressive funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the Nephi First-Secon- d Ward chapel for Mrs. Rhea Cowan Beagley, 81, who died at the Juab County Hospital early Sunday morning of natural causes. She had been admitted to the Hospital Saturday. Services were directed by Bishop Vaughn J. Paxman of the Nephi Second Ward. Mrs. Beagley was bom Sep- -- - time. Two Adult Classes Scheduled at School The Juab School District Adult Education department will begin a Class to driver education on Tuesday, January 14 at 6:30 p.m. The class will meet In room 21 of the high school building. Completion of a class ip driver education is required of all individuals before they can obtain a drivers license. The law requires 30 hours of classroom work and six hours of behind the wheel driving. Gadd and Golden R. Mangelson received and repeated the oath of office and were sworn in as Juab County Commss-sioner- s. Mr. Gadd began a four year term and Mr. Mangelson a two year term. At the first formal meeting of the new commissioners, held shortly; after the. .ceremonies, Commissioner Gadd was elected Chairman of the present board. Mr. Gadd has served as chairman for some tune past Commission Chairman" Gadd was elected on the Democratic ticket last November, Commissioner Mangelson was elected on the Republican ticket in the same election, and Commissioner Leslie Randle was appointed to the Commission a year or so ago following the death of Howard McIntyre. He is a Republican and resides at Eureka. Com. Mangelson accepted the responsibility for the Juab County Fair, and for Civil Defense. Commissioner Gadd accepted responsibilities for the Court House and Grounds, and for the Juab County Health Department. Oommissiner Randle accepted the responsibility for all phases of county operation in the West side with the exception of the County Roads. The County Roads department and the Juab County Hospital were made a joint responsibility of the entire commission and will be so admin' istered. No changes of County department employees were made at the meeting, on Monday. ' Mrs. King was widow of Marinus King. Bom September 17, 1881 at Aarhus, Denmark, she was a daughter of Soren P. and Anna Jensen Sorensen. She was married to Marinus M. King June 27, 1900 at the Manti Temple. He died in 1951. Survivors are Leslie, Arvil and Leah all of Provo; 19 and 40 great grandchildren grandchildren.
