In order to provide all possible opportunity for as many students as wish to participate In competition, the High School administration and faculty have adopted scholastic regulations as outlined by the Activities Assodation. These regulaitons contain two In scholastic requirements: order to be eligible, a student must (1) have passed satisfactorily in six periods where the d student is on a day for the previous semester the student was in school; and (2) be currently passing satisfactorily in six periods where a student in on a seven period inter-scho- 'VQJ . 1 H ! seven-perio- day. This means that students who fail in more than one class in either the first or second semester (Ya year) will not be eligible for the following semester. To determine who is not passing in six out of seven periods, students will be checked a mid-terof the fall quarter (this week) and at the end of the first three quarters of the school year. Students failing in more than one class will be Ineligible until the next regular check. A student who is not eligible after this first check will remain ineligble until the end of the quarter and if not eligible at that time will remain ineligible for the next quarter, etc. Another new feature of the is that seminary eligibility grades will be used to figure eligibilty. Seminary grades also will be used to determine the honor roll. It should be understood by students that these scholastic regulations apply not only to athletics, but to all inter-schoactivity. ' In addition to these scholasm tic regulations students in competition are expected to be good citizens around the school and support the school and its policies. They also are expected to abide by such rules of conduct or training as the participating group itself adopts. Students may be judged ineligible for failure to comply to either of these requirements and be removed from competition temporarily or permanently.
