We came away from the production with praises on our mind for the entire cast, especially fq)r blonde Dorothy Collins who gave a wonderful performance as Maria . . and also especially for the seven youngsters who made up the "family in the play. The building itself is worth driving the 100 miles to see, and as many have sai4 theres not a bad seat in the house. Scene changes are made very quickly In the semi darkness, and the cast members use the aisles to move from the stage to the off stage rooms that surround the building. Dorothy Collins made an appearance late in the evening after a quick change, with a zipper that wouldnt work but like the trouper that she is, held the blouse together in the back with one hand while making necessary gestures with the other. We marveled too, at the speed with which the crowd was dispersed from the huge parking lot after the show immense as was the crowd, there was no long delays in hitting the freeway! reg We Just hate to write traffic fatality stories . . especially if they concern a close friend or ing to a certain extent . so it becomes necessary that each and every one of our area drivers use a little extra precaution each time they start the engine! . reg The City Police officers have informed us that they dont particularly relish the idea of giving tickets to offenders who park incorrectly, and in the past they have been lenient . . but now that parking lanes are painted on two sides of the . First Second Ward, building, on -- three sides of the Juab Stake House, on two sides at the Nephi Fourth Ward, and all along east of the Juab County Hospital, theres no excuse! Park within the designated parking area and there will be no problem! Nephi City officials are to be highly commended for the assistance in parking at the various buildings as noted! The new parking stripes will assist in giving ample room for several more cars at each place, and will save lots of scraped doors and fenders from improper parking as in the past The new parking strips along main street also are an aid to shoppers using the area. reg Another new improvement is the beautiful black topped area behind Allens Cash Store, Nephi Drug, Forseys, Pratts, etc. which has been made possible mainly by Allens Cash Store. The driveways now enter from Main Street, and from Center Street and First South and much parking has been provided. It is a wonderful improvement for the area. reg A long-ag- o issue of the Magazine had this gem by Oren Arnold: No bill collector believes in putting off till tomorrow what can be donned today! 4-- D, Kl-wa- ll eddming yow catfe With another month remaining before the close of the water year", an Impressive amount of moisture has been received during the past 11 months.
