NEBO ROAD CLOSED Because of mud conditions and snow drifts at higher elevations, the Red Creek Scenic Loop Road has been dosed, according to Forest Ranger M. J. Roberts. The Situation is such that several cars have become mired" down and have damaged the road surface con -siderably in areas where the mud and snow conditions exist. As soon as possible, the road will be opened. It is not expected to be opened for the entire distance for two or three weeks at least, Mr. Roberts stated. High School Juab County Is Released The scholastic honor roll for the Fourth Quarter work at Juab High School was released today by Principal M. Clark Newell. The honor roll represents a grade point average of 3.5 for all classes taken. The honor roll follows: 12th grade Ann Boston, Marion Gowers, James Jensen, Roland Nebeker, Carolee Pay, Morris Young and Marjorie Memmott. 11th grade Kathleen Newton and Patricia Orme. Linda Marie 10th grade 9. Mr. Ord was born in Nephi June 9, 1882, a son of Thomas George and Alice Hunt Ord. He and Loretta Russell were married September 12, 1906 at the Manti Temple. Following a two year mission in the Southern States, he studied pharmacy and followed the profession or 50 years. He was a partner in the Ord & Mangel-so- n Drug Store. Mr. Ord has served in various capacities in the Church, serving as a Stake missionary for four years and has served many years as a Ward teacher. He is a member of the Juab Stake High Priests Quorum. He was a charter member of the Kiwanis Club of Nephi. Mr. and Mrs. Ord have seven children: Vincent Ord of Bountiful, Mrs. Leo G. (Mildred) Ingram, Nephi; Thomas Merl Ord and Mrs. Hamer (Alice) Thornton of Colton, California; Dr. John E. Ord of Mrs. Albert (Nelda) Provo; Haney of Warden, Washington and Mrs. Melvin (Ruth) Beck of Nyssa, Oregon. They also have 32 grandchildren and 14 great grand children. Helicopter Spraying To Begin Monday P Held The Juab County Daughters of Utah Pioneers under the direction of County President Zola Howard held their annual convention on Saturday, June 2 at the Juab Stake House. The meeting began at 10 a.m. with Mrs. Kate B. Carter, State Central Company president, and Mrs. Holbrook, State Historian, as the speakers. They urged all in attendance to write the histories of their pioneer ancestors and file them with the State Central Com0 pany. They reported that pioneers came to Utah and to date only 20,000 histories have been filed. A delicious lunch was served to all present at noon. At 1:30 p.m. the pioneer home formerly owned by Unity Chappell, which has been purchased by the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, was dedicated by Mayor L. Dwane Tidwell, a descendant of early pioneers. This home is to be used to house the pioneer relics. Preparations are being made this week for the helicopter spraying job to control sage brush on Wales Mountain. This work is to be accomplished during the week of June 11, according to Forest Ranger Merrill Roberts.
