Utah, now serving with the United States Army in Korea, recently led the rescue and air evacuation of several survivors of a ROK Air Force transport. Captain Paxman, leading a flight of two transport helicopters, rushed to the scene of the crash, which took place several miles from the home field of the 6th Transportation Company. Arriving on the scene minutes after the accident, the helicopers airlifted he crically injured Korean air force officers to military hospitals in the Seoul area. The eight survivors were receiving medical attention less than an hour after the crash. Five died In the crash.
