AnflUal COnVenilOfl 38th annual meeting of the Utah Poultry & Fanners Cooperative will be held at the Hotel Utah in Salt Lake City on Saturday, February 25. Officers and directors urge ail members to make plans now to attend this important meeting and to get a first hand report on the activities of the cooperative for the past year and participate in the planning for the years ahead reports President LeRoy R. Koyle. Meetings will start at 8:30 a.m. and about 1:30 p.m., President Koyle stated. A special luncheon program is being arranged, according to General Manager C. K. Ferre. The guest speaker will be announced later. Mr. Ferre also reports a departure from former meetings with arrangements being made for sectional sessions so that members may attend the meetings that hold special interest for them. The program will Include workshop sessions for poultrymen, turkey growers, livestock feeders, and dairymen. Elected to head the club during the current year were Mrs. Elizabeth Black, President; Mrs. Smith Ingram and Mrs. Bert Winn, vice presidents; Mrs. Lula B Memmott, secretary: Harry Black as treasurer; Mrs. Marjorie Bowles, Mrs. Velyn Stevens and Extension Agent Lynn Esplin as directors. A vote of thanks was given the retiring officers by the group. Plans were made for a party to be held in February for the Garden club. Mrs. Elsie Sidwell gave a history of the activities of the Garden club during 1960. Minutes of the past two meetings were read by the secretary, Lula Mem mott. The club program consisted of a beautifully illustrated travel tour through the Orient: Japan and Hong. The tour also included the Hawaiian Islands.
