Robertson Home Scene Salt Lake City Mrs. Anderson Hostess to Beta Christmas ParfyiMrs. Boswell Is Hostess of the birth of a son on Of Yuletide Gathering The annual Christmas party of the Beta Literary Club was held at the home of Mrs. Miles Anderson on December 15. Melody time was led by Mrs. Bert Powell and consisted of Christmas Carols. A full course dinner was served in the dining room, at one large table, beautifully decorated with traditional Christmas centerpieces. As the members of the Ladies Literary Club of Nephi entered the lovely home of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Robertson on Monday evening, December 19 for their annual Christmas party they were greeted by the hostess and by a beautiful Christmas scene the tall tree with many colored shining lights, tinsel and ornaments, the mantel over the flaming fire pace, holding a miniature sleigh with Santa and eight tiny rein deer. The shaded lamps gave a feeling of fairyland as the small tables were centered with lighted red tapers in a setting of real holly centerpieces. The committee arranging the affair were Mrs. James R. Stanley, Mrs. E. A. Ellertson, Mrs. John Berwick, Mrs. Marvin Anderson, Mrs. Ferry Ostler and Mrs. Dee Wright. The committee had planned a turkey dinner and assigned the members different dishes to bring. The hot dinner was served buffet-styl- e from a decorated table. With bounteous decorations of the season, and a crackling fire in the fire place, together with the beautifully lighted Christmas tree, the atmosphere truly was a welcoming one. A hot buffet supper was served at small tables decorated with snowy white table covers and with a red Santa at each plate as a favor. During the supper Thad Riddle favored the group with a number of piano selections. Miss Kathleen Allred of Fountain Green is spending a few days with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Gadd, this week. Mr. and Mrs. J. Hal Gadd and daughter Sally and her girl friend; and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Gadd of Provo visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. V. Gadd on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Don Ferguson of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. A. The home was beautifully decorated in keeping with the holiday season. A hot supper and games were enjoyed by Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Bowers Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Harry Beagley, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Black, Mr. and Mrs. Mrs. Ralph Belliston, Sure there's a Santa Claus... Wanda Burridge, Mrs. Lucille Lunt, Mrs. Lois Nelson, Mrs. Ruth Wells and the host and hostess, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Warner. in Utah there are hundreds! To a starry-eye- d child, Santa Claus is a jolly, plump old gentleman who lives at the North Pole. But the spirit of Christmas is not limited to the North Pole. It is shared by all and is reflected in the willingness to see that Santa Claus has help when he needs it. Here in Utah, there are hundreds and hundreds of men, women and children who help spread the warm, friendly spirit of Christmas to thousands of their neighbors. They represent every JUAB COUNTY OFFICERS AND EMPLOEES Utah Copper Division walk of life. As Santas helpers, they come from businesses, clubs, schools, fraternities and churches. They all have one thing in common, the sincere desire to make sure that Santa will visit every home with food, clothing, toys and trees. These devoted people want neither praise nor reward. Theirs is a special sense of deep, spiritual satisfaction that comes from knowing their efforts will bring a joyous sparkle to the eyes of thousands of children on Christmas Day.
