Hall John C. Hall, 78, well known Nephi church and civic worker died Tuesday after a short illness. Funeral services for Mr. Hall will be conducted Saturday at 1 pun. at the Nephi Fourth Ward chapel. Mr. Hall was born April 12, at Nephi, to Charles A. and Sarah Lacy Vickers Hall. Following his graduation from the Nephi High school he attended the Brigham Young University and the University of Utah, being granted a life diploma in teaching from the latter institution. He taught school for 15 years, at American Fork, Hinckley, Mammoth and Nephi. Active in the LDS Church, Mr. Hall had served as a mis1882, sionary to Great Britain from 1908 to 1910. He was a counselor in the Nephi (Center) Ward Bishopric for 19 years. He also served in the stake Sunday School organization, and as ward Sunday school superintendent for many years. At the time of his death he was a Sunday School teacher in the Nephi Fourth Ward, a Ward Teacher, and Stake Secretary of the Genealogical committee. He was active in the Democratic party, and was a Deputy Juab County Assessor for six years. A farmer, Mr. Hall also was watermaster for the Nephi Irrigation Company for many years, and in company with a son, recently had planted a large acreage to fruit trees. He married Pearl Ingram at the Salt Lake Temple August 23, 1911, and they have made their home in Nephi the majority of the time since then.
