Batting averages than ever before in history. 43 BILLION DOLLARS' WORTH There are people who look at this simply as one huge block of money. Others think of it in terms of belief in America nearly 43 billion dollars worth. Still others see a neat row of figures on a page, adding up to eleven figures at the Bottom. we like to think of it in terms of dreams . . . Thanks to Bonds, a mothers dream of medical school for her son is coming true in New York. A young couple has the down payment for a home in Minnesota. A farmer is ready to buy more land in Colorado. A girl is becoming a nurse in Alabama. Theres a new car in a familys garage out in Montana. A retired Indiana couple is planning to go South. A salesman in California is starting his own business. These are just a few of the nearly 43 billion dollars worth of dreams wrapped up in U. S. Savings Bonds today. Dreams coming true because someone wanted them enough to buy and hang on to Bonds. But What's your dream? What do you want, thats so important youre willing to work and save for it? Whatever you want, youll find there is no safer, easier way to save for it than by buying U. S. Savings Bonds. Buy them automatically, through Payroll Savings. Youll be surprised how fast they add up! Buy them regularly at your bank. (Nice thing about Bonds: you can buy them wherever you are cash them at any bank) An investment in dreams and v security, too. So many of our dreams depend on peace, its good to know every dollar you put into Bonds helps strengthen Americas Peace Power. Peace costs money: for military and industrial strength to keep the peace; science and education to help make peace lasting; and economic strength to keep our country sound. So the dollars you save help make your dreams come true . . . while they help protect your familys future! What are your dreams? Was there ever a better time to start doing something about them? Or a sounder, surer way to do it? Buy U. S. Gwernmtnl doet not pay far this advertising. Tht Tttasury Dtpartmtnt thanks, far thtir patriotic donation, Tht Advtrtumg Council r U.
