Mrs. Chase was born at Nephi September 4, 1883, a daughter of William Cole and Sarah Ann Webb Ockey. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was married to S. Alma Chase at Nephi in 1901. Mr. Chase died in 1915. Mrs. Chase served as Nephi City Treasurer for ten years. Surviving are two daughters and one son: Mrs. Laurence (Flor ence) Olpin of Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Othel L. (Helen) Pay and Ralph E. Chase, both of Nephi. Also surviving are five grandchildren and one great grand child. A brother, Joseph William Ockey of Nephi also survives.
