Ladies Literary Club Activities LUNCHEON GIVEN ICtvic FOR JOLLY TWELVE Oeneral meeting of the Ladies' Literary club will be held Friday at J p. m. This is the last program of this year and has the atmosphere of the Yuletide spirit. Dr. Fred Biauf fer will speak on the "Holy Land." Illustrating his lectrewith views taken while a resident there. Christmas carol will be sung by a group of pupils from the Wasatch school under the direction of Miss Members of the Jolly Twelve club at an attractive werenlertalhed luncheon Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Clayton Gannett The guests were served at one long table, centered with a graceful silver basket filled with shaded pink and white carnations. Barrett will give a paper on "The Poetry of William El- lery Leonard." and the secion will tudy Ptetro of Abano." Music section will meet Tuesday at 3:30. By special reauest. the Marion MacDowell chapter of the MacDowell Colony league will repeat the play, ine uoynood or Edward MacDowell." The play and program will be followed by a silver tea, the proceeds of which will be sent to the Peterboro colony. New Hampshire. The afternoon is in charge of Mrs. Percival O. Perkins, president of the Marlon MacDowell chapter. All club members and their friends are invited and urged to attend. The readers' section will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the clubhouse. The section will continue the reading of "Twelfth Night',' The Ladies' chorus will meet with Mrs. Charles G. Plummer at the clubhouse Friday at 12:45. Center Notesi The regular meeting of the board of directors of the Civic Center will be held Monday at 10 a. m. The main business will be consideration of additional space for the present quarters. Registration for this term will be held January J, 3 and 4.
