Og- den society can enjoy tin in beautiful Ogden canyon, at the Ogden Oolf and Country club, and In their own spacious, luxuriant gardens. Picnic dinners and suppers in the canyon are th? order of the day, and clubs are enjoying their annual field days and outings, postponed on account of unfavorable weather. Garden parties have brought a real touch of summer and to in favor as the seagrow promise son advances. Reservations are being made for the regular bridge luncheon Tuesday at the Ogden Golf and Country club. Mrs. J. Dwight Harding and Mrs. D. N. White have issued invitations for a bridge luncheon at the club Monday. Arrangements have been made for the annual field day of the Child Culture club Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Thomas D. Dee, 806 Washington avenue. Mrs. Frank Francis, president, will preside. Mrs. G. G Moyes is general chairman or arrangements. Mrs. Ezra Richardson is in charge of the refreshments and Mrs. W. E. Zuppann of the program. Outstanding among the events of the week was the celebration of the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Wattis in the garden of the Wattis home. 2540 Eccles Sons and daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Wattis gave a reception and dancing party. The hosts and hostesses were Mr. and Mrs. Leiand nay Wattis, Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Harris, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Hanke of Los Angeles; Mr. and Mrs. William Rice Kimball, Dr. and Mrs. E. R. Dumke, Paul L. Wattis and Miss Ruth Wattis. Throughout the house and garden baskets and vases of golden Iris, roses and lilies were suggestive of the anniversary. Gilded also added to the decorative scheme. On the supper table in the dining room, covered with a lace cloth over gold satin, a large bowl of, yellow roses, iris and maidenhair fern formed a centerpiece, surrounded by golden tapers, which also burned about the room. Dancing was enjoyed on the garden court, which was covered with canvas. Receiving with Mr. and Mrs. Wattis were the bridesmaid and best man at their wedding, fifty years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Archie W. Bowman. Mrs. Bowman was formerly Miss Eunice Wattis, a sister of Mr. Wattis. Mrs. Wattis wore a gown of heavy white satin with a corsage of yellow roses, tied with gold ribbon. Mrs. Bowman wore dark blue lace and chiffon and carried and old fashioned bouquet of yellow roses. The daughters wore corsages of yellow flowers and the sons wore gold-de- n boutonnleres.
