Show One day class in archaeology The Utah Division of State History - Antiquities Section will be offering a free, one-da- y workshop on the archaeology of Utah. Utahs Assistant State Archaeologist, Ron Rood, will teach the course on Saturday, March 5, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Archaeology is the study of past human cultures. Students will also learn about opportunities to become involved in understanding and protecting Utahs archaeological resources. Participants in the class will have an opportunity to visit two famous archaeological sites in the west desert of Utah later this spring, and those who really want to get their hands dirty will have the opportunity to assist Antiquities Section archaeologists on an excavation project during the summer.
