But the snow melted so fast and soaked so quickly into the parched ground, that will commence at 6:30 at the LDS church. Everyone invited, and bring a friend. We are now between sports seasons and in the midst of the musical region and state1 competition season. A slew of kids from La Sal (I dare not try to name them for fear of leaving some out) headed west last week for solo and ensemble1 competition. Going along to assure law and oreler was mom Teresa Kershaw. Most of these1 fine young musicians will soon be beveling out for State competition. La Sal has long had a tradition of significantly contributing to the musical excedlemce at MIIS. Best of luck kids! A full report of this competition will be proviele'd by the1 paper next week. On the1 sports front, the1 young, as in really young, starteel wrestling practice1 last week at the newly leakproof community center. One coach traveleel to Monticello to pick up the wrestling mats temporarily on loan from MIIS. The kids (and dads, I mean coaches) had fun learning the basic skills. Nearly a dozen youngsters came out for the first practice. Coaches are two former MIIS matmen Curtis ) Wilcox and Shane Deeter. Seems we will continue the La Sal contribution to MIIS wrestling squads into the future. Practices are Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. For the social news - Think Green! That is the theme of the pot luck to be hosted by the LDS branch Friday night in honor of St. Patricks Day. Get creative, theres lots of green (still edible) food!
